Corrections & updates
A useful story must remain clear when the record changes. This page explains how to report a problem and records substantive site updates. It is not a complete historical list of every copy edit.
Send a specific correction
Use our contact page. Include the article URL, the sentence or caption at issue, what you believe is wrong and a public source supporting the correction. If you are responding to coverage of yourself or your organization, identify the relevant passage and your response. Please do not submit sensitive personal records or private identity documents.
How we handle changes
- Factual correction: amend an inaccurate claim and add a dated note explaining what changed. A later outcome should be distinguished from a fact that was wrong when published.
- Developing story: identify new information and its date. Keep allegations, public responses and established outcomes separate.
- Availability update: remove a broken player or misleading watch promise and explain whether a video is unavailable. A platform message alone does not establish who acted, why or when.
- Routine maintenance: fix typos, layout problems and navigation. Changes that alter a reader's understanding need an explanation rather than a silent rewrite.
We assess a correction against the source record. Sending a request does not automatically establish that its claims are accurate. We do not promise a fixed response time or a particular editorial outcome.
Recorded updates
October 26, 2026 · H3 parody video availability
The H3 audition article, its homepage feature and its archive listing were updated after YouTube displayed “removed by the uploader” for the matching Pepe Patrol Short. The dead player and watch links were removed; the edit's frames and linked original scene remain as context.
The article records a previously published fictional parody. The removal message does not establish the actor, removal time or cause. The earlier publication history and the video's current availability are different facts.

The Dispatch links supporting records and original context within each article. Check the incident and publication dates before treating a circulated clip as a new event. A fictional Pepe scene does not replace the underlying record.
